I was really let down when my withdrawal didn’t go through, and it took a whole week to get my money back. On February 6, I bought BTC through Newton for CA$41000. Right after that, I tried to withdraw it to another platform. Sadly, the withdrawal didn’t work, and I got a message about it right away, but the reversal of my funds was stuck until February 13. By the time the money hit my account, my BTC had dropped to just CA$37000. I had a deadline for getting the funds to the platform, and since the address wasn’t working, I had to move it to my wallet first. My wallet didn’t let me transfer BTC directly, so I had to sell all my BTC on the spot and buy a different coin to move it over. In those seven days of waiting, the price of BTC plummeted, costing me CA$4000. I kept sending emails during that week, but no one ever replied. I’m done with Newton. (Inquiry ticket #555119)

We booked a place in Breckenridge, CO via Airbnb (the parent company) that partnered with Luxury Retreats for a ski trip during Spring Break on March 25th, 2020. Unfortunately, because of the COVID-19 outbreak, we couldn’t fly, and the governor ordered all ski resorts in Colorado to close. Summit County, where our rental was, also halted all short-term lodging indefinitely. Even if we had made it there, we wouldn’t have been able to stay. Despite this, Luxury Retreats refused to give us a full refund. We spent over a week going back and forth in emails with no success. They changed their cancellation and refund “policies” multiple times, even claiming it was up to the host whether to refund us. In the end, we managed to get our money back through Airbnb directly. Seriously, steer clear of them!
